Welcome, to my Craft with Christy blog.

I’m Christy Frank, and as an independent Chalk Couture designer, I am dedicated helping people discover their creativity with the ease and fun of crafting with Chalk Couture products. It is my hope that you find our crafting community welcoming, educational and enjoyable.

My Inspiration

What six year old asks Santa for scotch tape and paper for Christmas? Me! I always used all the scotch tape so my mom finally hid it from me just to have on hand when she needed it. This was a problem only Santa could solve, because a crafter needs supplies! Santa delivered! So did my mom.  She is one of the most talented and creative people I know and she spent a lot of time sharing her skills with my sisters and me. She taught me to sew, do floral arrangements, decoupage, ceramics, and more. Crafting is in my blood!

My Niche

Like many crafters, I like to dabble in lots of crafts. Along my journey, I have developed a passion for DIY home decor and paper crafting. What I find appealing about these crafts is playing with colors and textures to create a design that conveys an emotion or sparks a memory.

My Motivation

I love to help others discover the joy in creating. When I was first introduced to Chalk Couture, I knew that I had to become a designer. The moment that you peel back the transfer and see that perfect design brings such joy! I wanted others to feel that too!!

My Community

So what could be better than having great products to bring people together for a successful crafting experience? My Chalk community. My designer sisters and brothers (yes we have men designers!) are so supportive and encouraging. We celebrate our successes share our knowledge with each other. My Chalk customers are my extended family. By being part of this crafting community we have built so many lasting friendships. I have truly found my tribe!! 

My Life

At the center of my life is my family. My husband Jim and I have been married since 1988. We are blessed to have two amazing children, our daughter Jaina and our son Jerrett. We love to go camping, especially on the coast of Northern California.  Our fur babies Kiska, Sierra and Dolce are happy campers too!
